Yishai

Yishai was born in Jerusalem where he currently resides. Yishai served in an anti-terror Special Forces unit in the IDF as a combat soldier.  He participated in Operation Cast Lead in addition to many other special operations. After three years as a commander, Yishai finished his officers’ course with excellence and became the Lead Officer for the fast roping and special altitude combat squad in the Counter-Terrorism Academy of the IDF. Yishai was discharged as a First Lieutenant after almost five years of service. After his release, he helped to found an organization that aids under-privileged Ethiopian youth in preparation for their army service. After a long and meaningful service, Yishai is now a law student at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Ilana
Ilana was born in Israel to parents that made Aliyah (immigrated) from England. She is currently a student in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, studying International Relations and Media. She is a recent alumnus of the StandWithUs Israel Fellowship. Ilana enlisted into the IDF as an Army Benefits NCO Sergeant, where she took care of the welfare of soldiers in a combat regiment. In her position she looked after the financial, social and medical needs of soldiers and their families. She completed the Officers' Training Course and served as a First Lieutenant in charge of the welfare of a battalion of 1,800 artillery soldiers. Later, she was chosen to be an instructor in the officers’ course in this field, and was promoted to deputy commander as she progressed. To this day she volunteers in the Lone Soldiers Center, aiding soldiers in the IDF whose families are abroad. She is currently the Vice President of Hebrew U’s Model UN club, and part of the School for Statesmanship's program.
